I'm back on the forums again. Say, is it just me or are these forums seemingly dying?

I wouldn't say RIP, I'd say RWP, because our goal is not fulfilled yet. And if it is never to be, then RWP indeed.

School is just getting in the way for many of us. For me, work is getting in the way. It's difficult trying to maintain a 40+ hour per week job that has an unstable schedule and trying to find time for anything SX3 related. For me, it's only going to get worse during this next month or so.

same here. school and composing. game creator even set me a deadline for some act music to be ready before demo 2.0 is released. Still, would be awesome to continue this project.. maybe someday.. (・ω・)

I am currently trying to deduce whether the omega you used in that strange item at the end was symbolic of something or not.
I've pretty much given up on doing Rock as a genre. My talents definitely lie more in classical, where I can actually make stuff that sounds good.

(because i can't play guitar well enough) Now I'm making drum&bass and jungle (plz don't kill me!!xD) but i have tried to make the jungle i produce more melodic than my previous ones soundcloud.com/perfectchaosmusic/neo_falls_zone

It sounds decent, actually (it'd score higher if I actually liked Jungle, but I don't). What composition/notation/mixing program do you use?

Thanks, I have thought of starting to do some orchestral music in future (when I get some nice soundfonts), but yeah I also make kind of electric/dnb/house style music like this one: soundcloud.com/perfectchaosmusic/neofallzAnd about the software, I used Cubase 5 AI but moved to Ableton Live 8. I mainly use sequencers, because notation needs more music theory knowledge than I have ;D though that would be pretty cool... Oh and btw. do you use Sibelius?

I do for some things, but unless you have a nice sound library, Sibelius doesn't have very nice final products. Since I don't have a nice sound library, I only turn to Sibelius for full orchestra pieces that need a more powerful (insert word I'm thinking of but can't think of) to sound relatively decent. Otherwise, poor old me uses Musescore, a free but surprisingly decent notation software, as long as you switch the soundfonts out.
