As I'm sure you all know, Google Drive is now up and ready, and you start with 5 GB free. Now, I'd like to continue using Dropbox, but I'm over half-way full with it, so when we fill up, Drive could be an easy and effective transition.
Thoughts?

That could be a decent alternative.

If Dropbox fills we won't have any other option. Good work, Isentar! *glomps chu*

Ok, so I decided to set up Google Drive for myself. It works almost exactly like Dropbox. It can be installed as a program on your computer, you get a special Google Drive folder that would work like a DropBox folder, and you can view the files right from the website. Now, I just need to figure out how to add you all to the folder AND maintain certain permissions, if I deem that necessary. I suppose I'll just copy the list of e-mails that are in our Dropbox folder.
Please make sure that you all check your e-mails soon.
EDIT: Ok, so uploading the 1GB of data that we have is quite inefficient. Unfortunately, that's the best I can do. At a speed of 120KB/s, this will take about......too long. I will wait until all files are uploaded before I attempt to add anyone. Once you all join the project, you'll have to download the 1GB of stuff, which may take a while for some of you. You'll just have to endure it. This isn't any different from DropBox. Speaking of which, we may have to figure out what to do with Dropbox. Dare we drop it? Google Drive DOES have more free space to start with, and it works no different from DropBox, as far as I know. I'll see what happens after the files are done uploading and once I've invited you all.

I say that we just upload our own files by ourselves, and if you need to access the files, you can download them at will. However, I do like your idea of a permissions thing:
Eg. Audio people have full access to the Audio folder but have a view-only type access to the Graphics or Game Engine folders unless specially requesting to submit something.
That way, it reduces cross-department hassle.

Yes that is true. I don't want to delete your music, and I don't want anybody messing with my 3D models. Which reminds me, I need to pack the textures on the Sonic characters models so you guys can use them. If you take the models from Dropbox now, they show up grey, even when rendered.
