As to your 'sky zombie' comment, Bargoth, I've yet to see any proof presented by you that such a person (although 'sky zombie' is highly inaccurate) never did exist. Versus, of course, the fact that 98% of all locations in the Bible have been independently archaeologically proven to exist, and most all academic historians agree that Jesus of Nazareth was a real man, based on secular evidence.
Also, you discredit your own ideas on the content of anime by showing that you yourself have little tolerance for anything other than extremist atheism or border-lining ideas in an academic argument.
(I'm that guy that, unfortunately, remembers every trivial fact I've ever learned, and rarely ever the important ones. Of course, import is based on perception. It doesn't help your case either that my mind is hot-wired to analyze every single argument I see, finding weak spots, good rhetoric, and faulty rhetoric as well)

Here is my say on anime (if this is what we're discussing). In my opinion, anime can be for kids or for adults. Anime does not have to have its violence or its cliches of nudity or inappropriate content. In Japan, anime is like live action shows or movies to us (the United States). For both live and anime, the content shown in it is determined by the demographic geared towards.
I believe that only you or I can choose what to watch and if you or I have any objection, then we would turn the TV off. I don't want to really discuss much more about it, so hopefully this solves the quarrel.

Anime varies in my opinion. There is clean and cute anime, and there is Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni. ^^ There is an anime called "Cleopatra: Queen Of Sex" XD. There is also an anime called "Lucky Star", so it really does vary.

I'd have to agree with msc, with a few details. Anime does not have to be inappropriate to be adult-geared. Some plot devices are too complex for children to keep track of. Take, for example, Soul Eater. It's doubtful any children would be able to keep up with the plot of that. Maybe even Sgt. Frog, to some extent, although it's mostly a children's show, some of the pop culture references are clearly for older audiences.

Don't even try to watch Rosario + Vampire unless you have an insatiable lust for women and panty-shots (don't ask how I know).
Full Metal Alchemist is probably your typical Japanese anime. By typical, I mean that the Japanese find it as average as an American child would find any other normal cartoon in America. There's mild language (no f-bombs or feces or donkeys), perhaps 2-4 sexual themes in the entire 20 or so episodes I've seen (and those are just lower chest shots, really. Nothing much.), and there's a generous amount of death and blood. The amount may be just a tiny tiny bit more than the average action anime, but that's just how it goes. They just have a different style there. They probably wonder why we watch the shows we watch. Even I object to most of the cartoons in America, like Adventure Time and its related shows. Now, good ol' shows like Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Ben 10, the first few seasons of Pokemon, and other such shows are the good ones.
Oh, the nostalgia.

At first I find it hard to believe that Pokemon was an anime... The first few seasons were good. I won't say anything on Rosario + Vampire... ;D

You didn't watch it, did you?
And I didn't say that I liked it. Then again, I didn't say that I disliked it either.

I love Rosario + Vampire, but it's so much all at once I have to take breaks between episodes. ^^
